These are my 2 moms, Both pictures taken in 1968.
Mother, top, is Leona C., with us, her 3 adopted children.
She was about 43 years old then.
This is typical of my mom- delighted by my antics.
My mom completely nurtured and supported all my creativity.
Leona died 5 years ago after suffering a long time from Alzheimer’s disease.
Mother hiking is Prairie E.
She had me, unmarried at 20, and gave me up.
Here she is at 22. I met her when I was 20.
She gave me the sound of my voice, and ‘talent’
(whatever you think that is).
Prairie is a mom to me now and a granny to my daughters.
I love you Moms, thank you.
